Less than one week after both being involved in “Idol Gives Back,” Snoop Dogg and Miley Cyrus will once again share the stage, only this time it's going to be on her turf. BuddyTV has learned exclusively that at tonight's live CMT Awards, Snoop Dogg will show up as a presenter.

The news will likely confuse and befuddle many who fail to see the connection between Snoop Dogg and country music, and indeed my head is exploding at the mere thought of Snoop Dogg and Montgomery Gentry sharing the same spotlight.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

It's certainly a big attention grabber for the CMT Awards, airing tonight at 8pm on CMT. This new addition is almost as big as the main attraction: co-hosts Miley Cyrus and dad Billy Ray Cyrus. The Hannah Montana star has become a true nationwide sensation, and her involvement already will likely bring a new, younger generation of viewers and listeners to the world of country music. But apparently a teen phenom and her one-hit-wonder papa aren't enough star power for the CMT Awards.

It would seem the CMT Awards are trying to expand its fanbase even further with the surprise inclusion of Snoop Dogg. While he may have been known for his gangsta rap and his affection for marijuana, lately, it seems as though Snoop is softening his image. Not only did he vow to give up pot, but he's also the star of Snoop Dogg's Father Hood, the E! reality series which chronicles his daily adventures with his family. It's the new, family and kid friendly Snoop Dogg.

The new Snoop is a guy who goes out for brunch with David Beckham and now, apparently, enjoys attending country music awards. I'm not sure what tricks he has next up his sleeve, but I wouldn't count out a guest appearance on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, or maybe a cameo in High School Musical 3.

To see Snoop Dogg, Miley Cyrus and the rest of the CMT Awards, tune in to CMT tonight at 8pm.
