'Smallville' Roundup: Bad News for Season Ten?
'Smallville' Roundup: Bad News for Season Ten?
We can't quite wash our hands clean of the season finale of Smallville, where so many queries were raised and so few were answered. But there's a whole new surprise to look forward to, and of course we mean a tenth installment of the series.

But it doesn't look too good for the show, and for Clark. Maybe it's because every hero's journey is bound to be fraught with trouble. So before we get on with today's roundup:

Major spoilers below!

Ollie's Enemies
Many fans have pondered long and hard about Oliver fighting off the not-Kandorians in the air duct, when he was trying to hook up his satellite for Chloe. ComicBookMovie reports that the pests barging into Green Arrow's personal space aren't, in fact, rats.

The site reads: "The final nod is "What happened to Oliver?". Before the line goes dead he says "Chloe, they're not Kandorian!". No Ollie they're not, they are New Gods."

Apokolips Soon
It was mentioned in the comments that the lady knitting in the hospital near Tess Mercer's deathbed could be Granny Goodness. Chicago Now remarked that this is a nod to Darkseid, meaning he could be taking the reins from Zod and becoming season ten's villain.

What's more, there's been a lot of Apokolips-speak on Smallville recently. Amanda Waller talked about it, so we have little doubt that it will be featured as well.

10 Minus Chloe Equals?
Once again, the certainty of Allison Mack's return to Smallville next season is being challenged. While the heads of the show said they were "very optimistic" about her coming back, finale director Greg Beeman spoiled a little something on his blog.

ComicBookMovie caught the words before they were deleted though. Whether it's fortunate or not, it's still big news. Allison Mack won't be around for the majority of season ten.

"Also, Alison Mack. It was amazing to see her again. [...] She was going through some changes on this episode, because she was choosing to move on from the show. It looks like she'll be back for a couple of episodes but not full time. She and I got to talk about the experience of leaving behind something that you've grown so attached to."

Well, that does it. The CW did maintain that this is false, and even Smallville writers have denied the news on Twitter. Looks like we're left in limbo on this again.
