Hey diddle, diddle, answer this riddle:
Is killing a villain OK?
Tess gathered some freaks to get what she seeks,
And Chloe ran away with Doomsday

Tess Mercer is working late at the Daily Planet and Clark shows up.  He still hasn't forgiven her for accusing him of being an alien Jesus, which is my new favorite nickname.  He doesn't like how Tess is targeting Davis in the newspaper, but she turns it back, demanding that Clark step up and do what needs to be done.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

She's so convinced that he's an alien that I don't understand why he persists in denying it.  Tess agrees 100 percent with Oliver that Clark needs to man up and kill Davis, who isn't a man but a beast.  Clark hears Chloe's screams for help and after thinking about it for a moment, he speeds away with Tess watching.

Chloe almost gets hit by a truck but is saved at the last minute.  Clark may have saved the day, but Tess Mercer's team of evil freaks, the Injustice League as it were, is happy that he fell right into their trap.

Clark takes her back to his place and tries his hardest not to say "I told you so" regarding her idiotic decision to go with Davis.  I'm not a cruel person, but it's hard to feel sympathy for her since she was the one who put herself in this position without seeing this as the obvious and inevitable conclusion.  On the bright side, she's now on board the "Kill Davis" bandwagon.

She's not the only recent convert.  At LuthorCorp, Clark asks Oliver to break into Tess' vault to steal Black Kryptonite, a super special rock that just might do what needs to be done.  That's right, even Clark has come around to the notion of killing Davis.  The opportunity to steal the rock lets Oliver say, " It's been a while, but I could probably find my way into the ice queen's vault."  And yes, that is totally a sexual euphemism.

Sadly, Clark is lying, because he still plans on saving Davis.  Damn it Clark, what happened to "Truth, Justice and the American Way"?  Even Chloe is pissed off to learn that Clark plans on using the Black Kryptonite to separate Davis from his Kryptonian alter ego so he can send Doomsday to the Phantom Zone while saving Davis' human form.
