For several months now, ITV bosses have been rumored to be plotting the return of Cowell back to the British version of
The X Factor in an effort to save the show from falling ratings. And based on
The Sun's latest report, it looks like there may be some truth to it.
British X Factor judge Louis Walsh wants Cowell to return to the U.K. judging panel just like he did in Britain's Got Talent this year. "If Simon did come back, he'd have the number one show. That's the thing about Simon -- he always wants to be number one. We need him in the building, he's always fun, he keeps everybody on their toes. I wish he'd come back," Walsh said.
The Britisth version of The X Factor attracted just 7.6 million viewers on Saturday night, which is 3 million short of last last year's numbers.
Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian reportedly got "really upset" after her hosting debut on the U.S. version of
The X Factor because co-host Mario Lopez was allegedly reading her lines from the teleprompter. According to
TMZ's sources, however, Lopez did not steal her lines on purpose since there were glitches in the production that ultimately caused the mess during the live broadcast.
Many question producers' decision to let the reality starlet read a prompter since she's a beginner and it takes away her bubbly personality but it looks like the Keeping Up with the Kardashian star is open to handling contestants' interviews and leaving the hosting duties to Lopez.
