American actor Mark-Paul Gosselaar was born on March 1, 1974 in Panorma City, California. He's best known for starring as Zack Morris in the NBC comedy series Saved by the Bell, though he has also appeared in a number of other television productions. His family was originally from the Netherlands, and he speaks fluent Dutch. After attending Hart High School in California, he went on to act in television. He has worked on Good Morning, Miss Bliss, Kounterfeit, Dead Man on Campus, Hyperion Bay, Law & Order: SVU, and Commander in Chief. He also played Detective John Clark in the police drama series NYPD Blue.

Zachary “Zack” Morris is played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar in the teen comedy series Saved by the Bell. He's best friends with Kelly and Jessie, while Screech also tags along after him quite often. Zack is a mischievous schemer and rule-breaker who enjoys testing his wits against the school principal Mr. Belding, though he also has respect for the principal. He's also an innate entrepreneur, coming up with a number of business ventures to earn more money. Zack is intelligent and sharp, yet is often lazy and doesn't feel like applying himself. In spite of this, he achieves school's highest score on the SAT at the very end, and goes off to university after high school. He's also the frontman for his own band, the Zack Attack.
