Kevin Dunn was born on February 26, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois. He has appeared in numerous movies, including Small Soldiers, Stir of Echoes, Godzilla, Snake Eyes, Nixon, Mad Love, Ghostbusters II, Dave, Beethoven's 2nd, Hot Shots!, and Captain Mendez in 1492: Conquest of Paradise. Dunn also portrayed the role of Murry Wilson on the miniseries The Beach Boys: An American Family and Sandy Berger on the miniseries The Path to 9/11. Other film appearances include Live Free or Die, Gridiron Gang, and Transformers.

Howard is played by Kevin Dunn on the comedy series Samantha Who? Howard is Regina’s husband and the father of Sam, who was involved in an accident, leaving her with amnesia. Howard is just one of the people who are to help Sam regain her identity, and deviate from her old obnoxious self to change for the better.
