This Sunday, Poison frontman
Bret Michaels heads to Louisville, Kentucky to perform at the Budweiser LRS Festival. But that's not all. For the first time, the 45-year-old bachelor will also meet the ladies who will compete for his affection on the third season of his VH1 reality dating series, now called
Rock of Love Bus.
“That's the beginning … the girls will all start there. Officially, VH1 starts filming in Louisville. W.'re going to film the concert with the girls on stage. I'm literally going to meet them that day. That's the first time I'll see them -- when you see them. … I'm hoping for a good cat fight on stage,” Michaels told courier-journal.com in an interview.
Although his concert will be infused with a little reality TV drama on the side, Michaels assures his fans that he's throwing a real concert.
“I'm going to come on that stage, I'm bringing a big show. … We're playing Poison hits. We're playing new music from [Michaels' solo album, ‘Rock My World']. It will be a true big-party rock concert,” he explained.
Michaels' first quest for on-air love began in 2007 when he starred on
Rock of Love, a reality series where 25 women competed for his heart. He chose
Jes Rickleff but they eventually split, which prompted Michaels to return for
Rock of Love 2. This time, he chose
Ambre Lake among the 20 women that fought for his attention. Unfortunately, the two parted ways as well.
Despite several failed relationships, Michaels remains optimistic about finding his ideal match.
“I'm going to try it one more time just to see if there's somebody for me. … But it isn't like this is the end of [my] life if it doesn't work out. I'm not saying never, but I've done it. I don't want to be [on]
Rock of Love 96 and they're pushing me around in a chair,” he said.
