After spending the first three episodes primarily in the background, Jughead's (Cole Sprouse) life came to the forefront during Riverdale Season 1 Episode 4, "Chapter Four: The Last Picture Show." He passionately worked to save the town's drive-in theater without success. Initially, it appeared his affinity for the theater was nostalgic in nature, but it turned out to be much more.

BuddyTV visited the Riverdale set last week and spoke with Sprouse about Jughead's homelessness and working with Skeet Ulrich (Scream), who was revealed to play Jughead's father and the leader of the Southside Serpents.

With the destruction of the drive-in, Jughead lost not only his job, the place with happy family memories, but also the roof over his head. It's not as dire as it seems though according to Sprouse, "Don't feel too bad for Jughead. Jughead is stubborn-- like he can go back and live with his father."

Jughead has made this life choice on his own. "He's adopted a kind of homelessness on himself. And, that's not to trivialize how torturing that choice was for Jughead," Sprouse said.

Check out the below interview clip where Sprouse discusses Jughead's situation, as well as, what it was like to work with Ulrich (FP Jones) throughout the season.
