This week on
Ringer, Andrew pops the question for the second time. Meanwhile, Bridget is asked for her hand in marriage for the first time. Juliet and Catherine go into damage control over their new fortune, and Malcolm digs deeper into Marin/Charles.
Extra Buns in the Oven
Siobhan is back in Paris and having an ultrasound done to see the effects of jet lag on babies while in utero. To her shock, she learns that she is in fact having twins, and chances are the Andrew is the actual father. There's only one person who can find out for sure, and that is Maury Povich.
Back in New York, Bridget is surprised by Andrew with a movie night. Her favorite movie looks like a crappy knock off of Scream 2 (which is the best movie that SMG has ever been in.) He then gives her a surprise gift of a Ring Pop and tells her about how he remembered her telling him a story about a teen age boyfriend who gave her one. He then asks her to remarry him and puts it on her finger. The sad thing is that the Ring Pop is still smaller than her actual diamond he gave her earlier. They tell Juliet about it the next day, and Bridget asks her to be her Maid of Honor. More like Maid of DIShonor, amirite? Juliet then gets a call from Mr. C saying that he didn't beat Tessa, but is now a suspect and that she should stay out of his business.
Hack Master
Malcolm is busy teaching Henry how to install Windows Office, when Henry leaves him alone for a minute. Malcolm then gets to work sneaking through Henry's things and finds a receipt for a moving company that moved Siobhan's secret office. He calls Bridget and gives her the news. Bridget then goes to henry to ask him about the office. he says that it was his originally and that he and Siobhan used the office together. That makes sense, I like to do collate files with the person I'm having an affair with too. He then shows her the keys that Siobhan stole but claims that they are the matching pair that they made together.
Malcolm, finished sleuthing on his own, goes back to the office to do it professionally. He goes into Olivia's computer, but is caught. He says he is doing "routine maintenance" but leaves as soon as she enters the room. You have to be smoother than that Malcolm. Olivia also receives a text suspecting a mole in the company. Malcolm is doing himself no favors to look innocent.
Deep Under Covers
Juliet tells Catherine about her suspicions involving Mr. C beating Tessa into a coma. Catherine offers to run away with Juliet (what are they, teenage lovers?) and then says she'll talk to Mr. C. And talk to him she does. After telling him to leave Juliet alone, they start to get freaky. Talk about a parent teacher conference.
In other news involving bad relationships, Siobhan tells Henry that she is having twins. Henry is delighted and says that he is two for two. He is referring to the children he is already neglecting. Maybe he can sever his relationship with these kids too and go two for two. Henry tells Siobhan that he took all the Martin/Charles paperwork from the office. Speaking of Martin/Charles, Bridget learns that Andrew has signed Henry's father-in-law against her wishes. He says that it was Olivia who did it.
Busted
Malcolm uses his sexual prowess by promising the receptionist a date to get into Olivia's office. Just as he finishes copying files onto a USB, Olivia and her bevy of security guards comes in and fires Malcolm. Whoops. Malcolm tells Bridget and shows her some shady graphs that he downloaded. He says that he checked Andrew's computer and it came up clean. At least one person on this show is good at heart.
Henry, texts Siobhan about the vow renewal, and she reacts like a sane person would. She immediately comes up with a new scheme to ruin everyone's life. She then tells Henry to give Bridget the box about Martin/Charles.
Juliet is feeling a bit guilty and asks her dad if she is a bad person. Andrew, being a good father, lies to her and says she isn't, even though we all know she is. Juliet then finds out that Andrew is selling the loft because of the settlement and feels guilty. She texts Catherine that she is coming clean to Andrew. Catherine, still banging Mr. C, freaks out and they both pack their things and run away. They go to a motel where Mr. C showers and leaves Catherine alone with the money. You deserve to be robbed, sir. She takes his money, puts on a tape of him celebrating the settlement with Juliet, and tells him to stay away from them.
Andrew Madoff
Andrew surprises Bridget again, this time with a team of wedding planners. Bridget is too distracted because she is having Malcolm follow Olivia for the day. Malcolm calls and says that he followed her to a small accounting firm called Wesson. This happens to be the same building that were in the files that Henry gave Bridget. Olivia leaves the office and Malcolm goes inside, only to be surprised that the business consists of one person.
He tells Bridget that the only thing that could be happening is that Olivia is using the firm as a Ponzi scheme. Bridget tells Andrew that Olivia is a terrible person and stealing, when Andrew drops the bomb shell. It turns out that the Ponzi scheme was his idea. And just like that, the only likeable character on this show is ruined. We also learn, to no one's surpise, that Catherine set up the hit on Tessa. And just like that, Catherine is still a very unlikeable person.
It looks like everyone's reputation will be in the gutter by season's end. Does this mean that Siobhan and Henry are doing the right thing? I suddenly don't know who the good guys are anymore, if there are any.
