Daddy's coming home! In "Execution," David Clarke showed up well and alive. He never died all those years ago in prison like everyone believed, including Amanda, Nolan, and his former lover, Victoria. The Hamptons and the world is in for a big shock.

TVLine has confirmed that Tupper would be joining Revenge season 4 as a series regular portraying David Clarke. He first appeared in the pilot with his young daughter, Amanda, and continued to appear in flashbacks.

In the Revenge season 3 finale, Conrad escaped from prison with help from an unknown person. That individual was none other than the presumed dead David Clarke. On a desolate street, David killed Conrad.

The producers told Variety that David "is going to cause a lot of problems" when he returns. How will Emily react when she find out that her father is still alive? She gave up many years of her life seeking revenge for his imprisonment and death.

Not only will Emily have to adjust to finding out her father's alive (assuming he reveals himself), but he'll have to confront the person he allowed her to become. The quality of their relationship likely will depend on where he's been all these years and how much he knows about Emily's current situation.

One thing is certain: She didn't follow his wishes for her.

Revenge will return on Sundays this fall on ABC.
