The much-awaited Project Runway season 4 is just around the corner. In fact, Bravo has announced that the casting calls for the upcoming season will take place at the end of March until the first part of April.

Project Runway, a reality television series on the Bravo showcases fashion enthusiasts as they compete to create the best clothes under extreme pressure and time constraints. Hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum, the contestants are judged and eliminated on a weekly basis by a panel of judges, which consists of Nina Garcia, fashion director of ELLE magazine, Michael Kors, designer, Klum and more often than not a special guest judge. The crowned winner of Project Runway receives a spread in ELLE magazine, $100,000 startup money for a clothing line and a representation by a renowned agency.

Project Runway is said to visit four cities over 11 days. Starting with Los Angeles on March 30 to April 1, moving to Chicago on April 3, Miami on April 5, and New York on April 7 to April 9. The aspiring candidates need to showcase three articles of clothing, which they have designed on their own, a portfolio of their work and an application. Check out Bravo’s official website for the details and the exact location of each audition.

In order to be considered, the contestant must be 21 years of age as of June 1, 2007, which suggests that the filming of Project Runway season 4 will take place in June for a summer debut and a finale at fashion week in September. At the moment, there are no reports or press release on other details of the upcoming season. But one thing is for sure, Tim Gunn is still on board, despite buzzing rumors of his absence this season since his new venture as the appointed Chief Creative Officer for Liz Claiborne Inc.
