As Charles Westmoreland on
Prison Break, Muse Watson was one of the Fox River State Penitentiary's longest-serving inmates. He portrayed a relatively quiet and gentle man who kept a cat named Marilyn and often stayed out of other people's business. His desperation to see his terminally ill daughter finally drove him to become part of Michael Scofield's plan to escape out of prison. Throughout the series, many people came to believe that he might have been the legendary plane hijacker DB Cooper, which he repeatedly denied. Towards the end of season one, however, he finally confirmed the controversy when revealed to Michael the location of the DB Cooper ransom money just before he died from a severe injury. Next year, the 59-year-old actor will be featured in a series of movies, ranging from comedy, horror, and drama.
The former
Prison Break actor has just been cast to play Johnny Talbot in
Howl, a comedy-horror flick about a detective, who discovers that he's a werewolf, in the course of his hunt for a murderer in Hollywood. The cast also includes Eric Stoltz and Stephen Tobolowsky.
Also set for 2008 is the movie
The Steamroom, in which he plays one of the four leading characters. Also starring David Mattey, Brian Patrick Collins, and Colin Follenweider, the drama centers on the discovery of the importance of friendship of four men when one is faced with a life-altering decision.
At present, he is working on two films, a drama called
Small Town Saturday Night, which is slated for 2008, and an adventure-romance movie entitled
Between the Sand and the Sky, which is expected to hit the theaters later this year.
Aside from his exposure on
Prison Break, Muse Watson also appeared on various television series like
Criminal Minds, Close to Home and
Ghost Whisperer. He was also noted for playing Agent Mike Franks, a role he recurrently portrayed on
NCIS.
