Take the BuddyTV Personality Quiz: Which Prison Break Character Are You?

Rockmond Dunbar as Benjamin Miles "C-Note" Franklin

Born on January 11, 1973 in Oakland, California, Rockmond Dunbar attended Morehouse College and the University of New Mexico. As an actor, Dunbar received training in theater arts, but first broke through the entertainment industry as a regular cast member on Steven Spielberg's television venture, Earth 2. He then went on to appear on the series, Good News, and was subsequently given guest roles on shows like Felicity, The Pretender, Two Guys and a Girl, G. vs. E., Head Cases and North Shore. He also gave life to a recurring character on the UPN show, Girlfriends. One of his most popular television starring roles was Kenny Chadway on the Showtime drama series, Soul Food. Dunbar has also graced the big screen with his appearances on the films Punks, Misery Loves Company, Sick Puppies, Whodunit, All About You, Love the Way and Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang.

Aside from acting, Dunbar has also explored other artistic ventures, such as setting up a mixed-media exhibit called ARTHERAPY, writing for the drama series, Solitaire, and serving as director and producer of the Showtime made-for-tv short movie, The Great Commission.

One of the recognitions he has received is being hailed as TV Guide magazine's Television's 50 Sexiest Stars of All Time. In 2003, he tied the knot with Ivy Holmes, and in the same year, posed completely naked for a calendar.

In 2006 and 2007, he starred as Benjamin Miles Franklin, the tough, mysterious inmate "C-Note," on the new hit Fox series, Prison Break. He greatly admires his co-star Robert Knepper, and has tried his best to keep himself fit for the show. The fate of all the show's characters remain unpredictable, and Dunbar told IGN.com that he himself gets excited over reading what is in store for them next. Moreover, for the second season of the show, Dunbar is quite happy that his character's more sensitive side is highlighted, as C-Note is shown to have more significant interaction with his family.

In 2007, Dunbar starred on the TNT transplant surgery drama, Heartland .
