Viewers who have been itching to see
Camille Guaty back on FOX's
Prison Break, here's a little ray of hope.
In a recent interview with TV Guide, the 29-year-old actress spoke of the possibility of her return to the hit drama series.
“I got word that I might [go back to
Prison Break],” Guaty, who plays Sucre's (
Amaury Nolasco) one and only beloved Maricruz, said. “I love the character, Maricruz; I love the relationship between her and Fernando. I would have loved to have done a little more on that show, but I wasn't really available at the time. So we'll see, if I'm not tied into another show.”

Camille Guaty, who now appears on the NBC dramedy
Las Vegas, was a recurring cast member during the show's first two seasons. She was last seen by viewers on the current season's second episode, wherein Sucre calls the pregnant Maricruz from Panama to tell her that he won't be returning to the United States. Their conversation ends with a tearful farewell.
Asked how she would like to return to
Prison Break, Guaty said that she would love for her character to have already given birth and be ready to rescue Fernando.
“I would love to have the baby and then try to get Fernando out of prison myself, like I'd become this commando girl who tries to get her lover out of prison and bring him home,” she told TV Guide. “Love is what's driving him, so she might totally do something like that for him.”
While Camille Guaty is entertaining the idea of going back to
Prison Break, she is happy where is she at right now, starring as Piper Nielsen, Montecito's new concierge, on
Las Vegas.
“I've always done a lot of dramas,” Guaty said, recalling the emotionally-draining work days she had when she appeared on ABC's short-lived drama,
The Nine. There was one week during the show's filming where she “worked, like, three 16-hour days in the bank and I was crying all the time. I was like, ‘Dear god, please let my next show be a comedy, I need to last!' I loved doing that show, but it takes a toll on you, especially just starting out as actress. Sometimes I would bring it home and my boyfriend would be like, ‘Geez, are you ever going to be in a good mood?' Now I'm feisty and I'm happy, and it's great. It's a lot of fun.”
