Phineas has only one goal set for the summer—to make every day as exciting as it could be. He and his stepbrother
Ferb team up and plan daily activities that will help them achieve this goal. Phineas is confident and usually does all the speaking and directing responsibilities, while Ferb works on the mechanical and technological aspect of their tactics. Even though they are just stepbrothers, Phineas and Ferb are very close and see each other as best friends. Phineas treasures the time he spends with Ferb.
Phineas’s sister, Candace Flynn, may be very sneaky but he always treats her nicely. He even plans on doing something special for his sister’s birthday. As days pass by, Phineas and Flynn eventually get Candace to appreciate their idea for the summer.
Phineas’ mother is Linda, to whom he is always polite and honest, while his stepfather is Lawrence, whom he calls “Dad.”
Phineas has a pet named Perry the Platypus. Perry cleans up Phineas and Ferb’s mess so that Linda will not catch them.
He also has a friend named Isabella. She helps Phineas and Ferb in creating and delivering their extraordinary concepts. Isabelle has a crush on Phineas, but he doesn't return those feelings.
Phineas makes it a point to always look on the bright side. He tells everyone that the Love Handle band does have fans and when his sister performs an acting scene poorly, he convinces her that it was just a rough cut and not the final version.
When it comes to adults, Phineas maintains a polite and respectful attitude toward them. He always uses the words “Yes ma’am” or “No sir.”
Phineas’ idea of having fun doesn’t include being selfish.
