When it comes to Miss Phaedra Parks of The Real Housewives of Atlanta
, we've come to expect nothing less than the prim and proper Southern Belle, albeit with a sometimes dirty mind and an innuendo-ridden sense of humor. So when she was caught on a "butt dial" voice message saying she didn't "give a f***" about whether co-star Cynthia Bailey came to her son's birthday or not, it seemed a little out of character.

Well, everybody knows that Phaedra always has a logical explanation, and this instance is no exception.
"The conversation occurred during the stressful time of organizing the event and was so trivial that I didn't even remember it," Phaedra wrote on her Bravo blog
. "I never said anything malicious or derogatory about Cynthia, and it was not my intention to insinuate that she is insignificant. The point of my comment was to communicate that Cynthia's attendance to Ayden's second birthday party was not essential, as Cynthia is my peer, not Ayden's."
Phaedra also expressed that while she may regret her choice of language, she stands by the essence of her original statement.
"While I have already apologized to Cynthia for any misunderstandings, real or assumed, I still stand by my statement that I did not care whether or not she attended Ayden's party," she explained. "If it were my party, I would have felt different, but Ayden is my son and he was the star and main focus of the party. Hopefully, Cynthia has accepted my apology, as I do value our friendship."Kim Zolciak Talks About Her Exit from RHOA and a Possible Spin-Off >>>
Cynthia, however, does not seem so eager to accept Phaedra's apology as she is to draw the issue out for as long as possible.
"Her choice of words stung me like a bug bite from out of nowhere. I don't claim to be Phaedra's best friend or anything, BUTT what I do claim is that I always make every effort to support 'All Things Phaedra," Cynthia wrote on her Bravo blog
(the clever "BUTT" capitalization is hers)."When I am invited to her extravagant affairs (Regardless if the invite is heartfelt), out of respect my BUTT is always the first one there. Sometimes, my BUTT is the only one there (from this group of ladies) to support her."
Not only does Cynthia insist on using the word "BUTT" nearly 20 times in her blog, but she also doesn't think that Phaedra gave her an appropriate apology when she confronted her about it.
"This was the perfect opportunity for Phaedra to fess up, apologize and walk her donkey booty off into the sunset," Cynthia said, referring to the two of them meeting for cocktails to discuss the butt dial in question. "Was I bugging? Or did this chick really bug out on me?!"
