Hero or headline?
In the preview video for the episode, we find out that The Machine has given Reese and Finch the number of a new POI. She's a very pretty reporter who appears to have gotten herself involved with some very dangerous people. This looks like yet another big challenge for our stoic friend as usually the people he is trying to save don't have a job that could put his name smack dab in the middle of a spotlight. So the question of course becomes: how can he save her without tipping also her off to who he is? A task that sounds even more interesting given that she appears to know all about the mysterious man in a suit who rescues people all over the city.
Romance in bloom?
Well you've got to give it to Reese, he does come up with rather unique ways to protect his POI's and keep his anonymity intact. When you've got a woman reporter you need to protect and whom you don't want to know about your past, the next logical step is of course to date her. That's definitely one way to stay close to her without letting her know who you really are. Well, of course except for the fact that there's always the chance that he could actually start to fall for her. While I'm doubtful that that would happen, it's still a possibility and one that would make everyone's lives a lot more complicated.
Here are a few more things we know from watching the preview:
- Finch doesn't like it when Reese cleans his very big guns in the office.
- People look at Reese funny when he cleans his guns at the park (can't imagine why).
- Reese wears glasses and looks awesome in them (sorry, it had to be said).
- Finch doesn't seem to be completely on board with Reese's plan.
What did you think after watching the preview for this episode of Person of Interest? Do you think that Reese is going to be able to keep himself distanced from his POI, even if he's pretending to date her?
