Person of Interest season 2 airs its mid-season finale on Thursday, December 13 on CBS. The episode, called "Shadow Box," looks to be full of a lot of action and drama. But could it also spell the end to Reese?

On this season of Person of Interest, we've seen our little group of good guys go from just being four people who sometimes worked together, with two of them not even aware that they were both on the same team, to what I daresay might pass as a pseudo family. Acting as co-parents of sorts to Carter, Fusco and now Bear, Finch and Reese have grown even closer as friends.

But it looks like all of that may be about to change. First up, let's take a look at the official synopsis from CBS for this episode:

While the FBI refocuses their efforts to catch "The Man in the Suit," Reese's latest POI becomes a personal quest after he learns that she's the sister of a soldier who was killed in action.

Interesting that they don't really mention what appears to be a much more important aspect of the story that is mentioned in the preview. Take a look at the video and see if you can catch the difference.

So the synopsis just talks about how the case will be important to Reese because their POI is the sister of a soldier killed in action. Um, hello? What about the fact that Reese MIGHT DIE??

What is right, the synopsis or the preview? My money's on a little bit of both. I'm thinking that yes, of course, Reese will become quite involved in the case because of its connection to a soldier's sister. But I also think that while he's busy doing that, the FBI will get closer to his trail and cause him to decide to sacrifice himself and utter the line that my chin quiver a little bit, "Thanks, Harold. It was fun."

Why he'll be decide to sacrifice himself, I have no idea, but that's certainly what it looks like to me. I've been listing the best bromance moments from the past few episodes and something tells me that it's going to be chock-full of plenty.

What do you think after reading the synopsis and watching the preview for the mid-season finale of Person of Interest? Do you think the FBI will finally catch Reese or do you think he would rather take himself out than let that happen?

Person of Interest airs on Thursday nights at 10/9C on CBS.
