As if Nathan and Haley's house isn't crowded enough,
One Tree Hill brings in yet another family member. This time, it's Lydia James, the matriarch of the James family.
Warning: If you don't want to be spoiled for next week's One Tree Hill episode, stop reading any further! Not much has been revealed about Lydia on
One Tree Hill. After all, we've only seen her in the first and second episodes of season 2 in which she fully supported Haley's decision to marry during her junior year, opposing the views of Nathan's mother Deb, simply because her children's happiness is very important to her. We also know that she and husband Jimmy are touring America in an RV.
So what brings Lydia to Tree Hill all of a sudden? Based on the preview trailer, it looks like bad news. Series creator Mark Schwahn has even described her episode, "My Attendance Is Bad But My Intentions Are Good," the "quintessential
One Tree Hill" since it's dramatic, a little depressing but at the same time, it's also very hopeful.
Aside from the little James family reunion, this episode also sheds light on Millie's depression and Julian's struggle to get over Brooke.
