Track & FieldThe women compete in the final rounds for 1500m, 200m, long jump, and 400m hurdles. The men compete in the 110m hurdles final.
DecathlonWhat did I say about the Olympic triathletes making the rest of us look lazy? Okay, forget about that. Let's talk the decathlon. This competition consists of ten track and field events, taking place over two days. Day one is today. Keep your eyes on American Ashton Eaton who set the world record for the decathlon in June and is looking to be the next Bruce Jenner.
Taekwondo The action kicks off in the morning with the women's 49kg and the men's 58kg rounds. Four Americans are competing, and all of them managed to draw former world champions as their first bout opponents. It's going to be a tough battle to the gold which gets handed out in the evening.
BMXThis is only the second Olympic appearance for BMX. The event promises to be fun to watch with a course made up of jumps, bumps, and tight corners. Early rounds kick off today.
