Bryan Greenberg Biography:
Born on May 24, 1978 in Omaha, Nebraska, Bryan Greenberg and his family relocated to St. Louis, Missouri when he was twelve years old. His discovered his passion for acting when he was very young, and when he finished high school, he packed his bags and moved to New York City, where he attended the New York University as a Theatre major. After earning his degree, he went on to perform in many different productions around the city. Although he is popularly known by the viewing public as the hunky basketball player “Jake,” from the WB series,
One Tree Hill , Greenberg has had numerous projects both in television and film. His acting credits include minor roles on Boston Public,
The Sopranos ,
Law & Order, Unscripted and Third Watch and starring roles in the films The Perfect Score, A Civil Action and Prime. In 2007, Greenberg returned to the small screen with a title role on the ABC drama series, October Road.
Nick Garrett is played by Bryan Greenberg on the show October Road. Nick is a critically-acclaimed writer who, after a decade, decides to go back to his hometown of October Road, Knights Ridge, Massachusetts. When he encounters his old friends, whom he used as subjects for his book, he sees that all of them have settled down with families of their own and have built careers in the blue collar industry. Hit with a bad case of writer’s block, Nick hopes to find inspiration by accepting a job at the local college. He tries hard to fit his new life with his old one, but he realizes that it’s not such an easy task.
