Born on February 17, 1971 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Michael Weaver started out as a singer-musician who got discovered while performing in a pub. After landing his first acting gig with actor Jack Lemon, he decided to move to New York to study acting full time. He attended director Mike Nichol’s New Actors Workshop. After training, he got exposed to various off-Broadway productions like Geography of a Horse Dreamer and Urban Empire's Worldly Acts. Eventually, he landed guest roles on television shows such as
Law & Order,
NCIS, Providence,
Cold Case,
Monk and
Hot Properties. His film credits included
Super Troopers, Club Dread and
The Greatest Game Ever Played, in which he served as the director.
Weaver’s inclusion on
Notes from the Underbelly allows him to showcase his proficiency in comedy and enables him to positively prolong his exposure on television. He portrays Andrew’s best friend who is being kept in the dark regarding Andrew’s wife’s pregnancy. Viewers definitely take delight in his childish behavior, not to mention his infatuation with gorgeous women.
