Newport Harbor: Allie to Star in Own Reality Show?

MTV's Newport Harbor is not even halfway through its second season, but cast member Allie Stockton is already gearing up to star in her own reality series.

The 17-year-old reality star told celebrity interviewer Aaron Guerra that the network pitched the idea for the spin-off “because -- brace yourselves -- The Hills is going to end one day, and MTV needs a way to bring in some money.”

“My show will show my job currently or internship, can't say which I have, along with some more of my personal life,” Stockton, who has relocated to Los Angeles and is currently majoring in Communications, further explained.  “My friends will also be on the show.”

The network has yet to make any official announcements, which means that Stockton's fans will, in the meantime, have to keep tuning in to Newport Harbor to watch the aspiring model.

Allie Stockton ended up being cast in Newport Harbor after her friend and costar Chrissy Schwartz's audition tape featured a fashion show which Stockton was part of.

“When [Chrissy] was called in for callbacks they wanted to know who I was and [what] my relationship [was] with her,” Stockton told Guerra.  “I then went through the interview process and got chosen.  My reaction was that it will help boost my career as a model so it was a good thing…”

Surprisingly, Stockton doesn't watch herself on Newport Harbor, as she feels the network has portrayed her in a rather negative light.

“I think that MTV portrays me as a “bitch” and that I am not,” she said.  “I do have people that come up to me randomly saying I'm a bad person; it just hurts that people feel that way.  I'm really a nice girl.”

There are some perks to appearing regularly on television, however.

“The advantages of being a reality television star would have to be getting into clubs when I'm only 17,” Allie Stockton said.  “I love the LA atmosphere and so to be able to live it up in the big city is exciting.”

Will you tune in to Allie's show?
No, I hate her guts.
Most definitely. Allie's the best!
