VH1 has recently released several promo shots for its upcoming reality series
New York Goes to Hollywood, which stars none other than
Tiffany Pollard, also known as New York. After being rejected by rapper
Flavor Flav twice on his reality dating series
Flavor of Love, New York went on to find her ideal match on the spin-off show
I Love New York. Unfortunately, two seasons worth of love searching were not enough to find her one true love. Now, New York is taking over Hollywood as she puts her love life in the backburner.
In the promo shots released by the network for
New York Goes to Hollywood, it's obvious that Pollard's main goal in her new show is to linger in the spotlight as an aspiring actress. In the pictures, she is getting into her role as she wears many hats and wigs, and hams it up for the camera.
New York has frequently mentioned her affinity for acting. She recently guest starred as herself on FX's
Nip/Tuck and also had a cameo in the David Talbert film
First Sunday, which co-starred Ice Cube and
Tracy Morgan.
Additionally, the new series will also shed light on New York's controversial split with
Tailor Made, a contestant whom New York picked in the finale of
I Love New York 2. Tailor Made proposed to New York but was turned down until she finally accepted his second proposal during the reunion special.
The new half-hour reality series is expected to air on VH1 on August 4 at 10/9c.
New York Goes to Hollywood is created and executive produced by Mark Cronin and Cris Abrego for Mindless Entertainment and 51 Pictures, which also produces VH1's celebreality shows such as
Rock of Love, Flavor of Love, Charm School, The Surreal Life and
My Fair Brady.
