There are very few NCIS fans who love Rena Sofer's Attorney Hart character on the CBS show, with most just not liking the way she stood so close to Gibbs (Mark Harmon) in the end of "Masquerade."

Entertainment Weekly reports that Hart is set to resurface in the March 2 episode "Mother's Day" which is also when NCIS returns. After that, she'll be back for at least one more episode. Apparently, even she is kept in the dark as to both how long she will be staying and whether or not there will be something more between her character and Gibbs. She's not complaining, though, she says.

"Mark doesn't know either," she says. "We talk about it every time we do a scene. We don't know. Personally, I think it's more fun to play the ambiguity. Once you go to bed with someone, it's over. Where do you go from there? There's a part of me that hopes we never know."

When NCIS returns, we say hello to Gibbs' former mother-in-law as a witness in a murder investigation. Sofer's hard-nosed attorney character first appeared on "Ignition" doing what she does best: keep Gibbs from talking to her clients.

Sofer, 41, has appeared on General Hospital, Melrose Place, Friends, Ghost Whisperer, 24, and Seinfeld.
