Three great reasons to celebrate at NCIS!
Charles Schultz the creator of Charlie Brown said "Happiness is a warm puppy."
I've been a little 'snoopy' and discovered that three of our favorite NCIS cast members have reason to be happy.
Mark Harmon (Leroy Jethro Gibbs) has been inducted into the Pierce College Athletic Hall of Fame. Harmon was among the first to receive this privilege from the college located in Woodland Hills a suburb of Los Angeles. He could have gone to Santa Monica College. The beach seen would have suited him.
Instead he attended Pierce attaining his AA degree. Due to a broken elbow in high school Harmon was unable to play football. It healed and he went on to Pierce becoming a Junior College All-American quarterback. This got him noticed. The University of Oklahoma wanted him but he picked UCLA. With Harmon at quarterback the Bruins became a winning team.
"I owe this (honor) to Pierce. That was a very important time in my life, when I made a decision to head in that direction. There were no guarantees, and not a lot of people said I was making a smart choice, but I'm proud of the process", Harmon told The Daily News
Cheers to Pauley Perrette (Abby Sciuto). On May 1 she is receiving the Community Advocate's Award from the Society of St. Vincent De Paul. The Society is holding its annual 'Camper by Camper' Gala Awards to raise funds for their 'Circle V Camp'. The camp is for at-risk children ages 7 - 13 hosting over a thousand for a week each summer.
Perrette is well known in Los Angeles for her charity work. She advocates for youths, families and the homeless as well as other charities according to The Tidings
. The event is being held at the snazzy Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. You can get a ticket to attend at $300, each which sponsors one camper for a week. Remember it's for charity.
"Miss Perrette is a role model for many throughout Los Angeles and the world, on and off screen, and should be recognized for all that she does to make a difference in the lives of many," stated David Fields executive director for the Societies L.A. council.
Sean Murray (Tim McGee) is a happy camper. Sean and his wife Carrie said hello to their second child Thursday, April 22. The little boy has been named River James Murray. River was born at 9:46 PM and was 7lbs 11oz.
So was my son. Wow I've something in common with Sean Murray! Well maybe not so much.
The couple has a daughter, Caitlyn Melissa Murray who will turn 3 next month. (Caitlyn, now where have I heard that name before?)
Best wishes to Mark, Pauley and Sean! Good news is always welcome here. Happiness is sharing it with you.
