Barely a month from now, fans of the naval crime drama, NCIS
, will finally have fresh installments to sink their teeth into. Of course, new episodes means additional chances for die-hard Mark Harmon
followers to appreciate his ageless good looks and unassuming knack for deadpan comedy.
The good news is that NCIS
will resume with new material on air beginning April 8, when a fresh batch of seven installments is scheduled to hit the small screen. To add even more cause for celebration, NCIS
not only has post-strike episodes coming, but an entirely new season as well. The show has been picked up as part of the CBS' lineup for 2008-2009.
In other news, the third annual NCIS
Fan Fest has been set for September 18-21, 2008. The gathering is scheduled to take place at Beverly Garland's Holiday Inn at Universal Studios in North Hollywood. The 2008 fan fest schedule and details have been posted on the official NCIS

According to the announcement, a special group rate will apply for hotel reservations three days before and after the said event. This is the first time the NCIS
Fan Fest will be held at Beverly Garland's Holiday Inn. Registration for attendees has been ongoing since January. According to the official site, they will only be accepted by postal mail, are non-refundable and non-transferable.
There is an early bird rate of $70 for those who sign up between January to April 30. The rate goes up to $85 from May 1 to June 30, and $95 from July 1 to August 15. United States citizens may send a personal check, cashier's check, travelers check or money order, while international citizens are requested to send an international money order or travelers check payable in US$. Interested parties are advised to check the website regularly for updates and additional news.
