Monk is a television series created by Andy Breckman about a kooky private detective, who appears to be "the defective detective." He is quite good at his profession but also suffers from a number of phobias. The show combines action, drama and a huge doze of humor.

Leading the Emmy Award winning series Monk is Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub), a brilliant homicide detective working for the San Francisco Police Department. He has an obsessive-compulsive disorder, and a lot of odd quirks which adds to the humor of the show. In addition, he has a photographic memory and a remarkable ability when it comes to solving crimes. Also included in the series are Traylor Howard as Natalie Jane Davenport Teeger, Emmy Clarke as Julie Teeger, Ted Levine as Captain Leland Stottlemeyer, Jason Grey-Stanford as Lieutenant Randy Discher and Stanley Kamel as Dr. Charles Kroger.

Monk is produced by Andy Breckman, David Hoberman, Tony Shalhoub and Rob Thompson. It airs Fridays at 9:00 PM on USA.
