Fans of Jamie Lynn Spears should mark March 20 on their calendars, as that is the day the pregnant Zoey 101 star will be making her debut on broadcast television.

According to ABC, Spears, who announced her pregnancy late last year, will guest-star in the second episode of ABC's new comedy series, Miss Guided.   The network's press release states that the 16-year-old teen actress will appear as Mandy Ferner, a troubled high school student who receives exciting news from college, but considers throwing it all away if it interferes with her romantic life.

Also slated to appear on the episode, entitled “Hot Sub” and airs at 8pm on that Thursday night, is show executive-producer Ashton Kutcher (That 70s Show).

Jamie Lynn Spears taped her Miss/Guided episode after filming on the final season of Zoey 101 wrapped up and some time before she came out with the news of her pregnancy.

This is the first time that Spears is appearing on a broadcast network series.  She began her television career on Nickelodeon, appearing as a regular performer on the tween comedy sketch show All That.  In 2005, she began appearing as the lead female character on Zoey 101, a show that has become a major hit among its target audience.  The series is currently on its fourth and final season on Nickelodeon.

While Spears has gained a lot of fame for her starring role on Zoey 101, she has been laying low in the recent months, hoping to thwart any other media coverage about her pregnancy.  She has used her down time well, having just earned her GED after weeks of strict preparation.

Despite her efforts to stay under the radar, reports regarding her continue to surface.  Just recently, Metro magazine reported that her equally famous sister, Britney Spears, has refused to attend the Jamie Lynn Spears' supposed wedding to Casey Aldridge, the baby's father, because she is still mad for having found out about her sister's pregnancy merely through a magazine.

"Although Britney had it out with her sister at the time, she's been simmering with resentment ever since,” a source told Metro.  "She believes that Jamie Lynn's broken the close bond the two have always shared and is using Britney's fame to make money.”
