Huston Says Arquette is a "Luminous Presence," Talks About 'Medium'
Patricia Arquette recently gushed to the Roanoke Times about working with Academy Award-winning actress Anjelica Huston on NBC's supernatural series, Medium.  Apparently, the feeling has been mutual, as Huston also sang praises for Arquette in an interview posted on the show's official website.

“I think she's a luminous presence.  She's very beautiful [and] very kind,” Huston, who will appear in six episodes of Medium's new season, said.  “I'm a bit of a neophyte here… sometimes it's scary because you have a lot of lines thrown at you in a very short notice its new for me this way of working in that films usually go a lot slower.  I'm mostly a movie-trained actress… [Patricia Arquette has] been very calming and sweet and she's sort of held my hand through [the] first days, so I really appreciate that.”

Anjelica Huston will begin appearing on Medium when the show's fourth season premieres on Monday, January 7.  The 56-year-old actress plays Cynthia Keener, an Ameritips investigator who finds herself working with Patricia Arquette's Allison Dubois in order to find a missing boy.

“It's a very interesting part; a very strong part,” Huston said of her role.  “I like playing strong women and I actually never played an investigator before.  I've never played like this sort-of cop-type, so that was attractive to me.”

Although Anjelica Huston is the “new guy” (or in this case, the new girl) in Medium, she has an idea as to what makes the series such a hit among viewers.

“One of the reasons people enjoy this show so much is that they become involved with the mysteries.  They're included in the mysteries, [which are] not that obvious so that you know what's gonna happen immediately,” she explained.  “Also, [the show is] very much emotionally-oriented.  The characters are real, and I think a lot of care is taken with the production of the show.”
