What's in store for Don now that he's signed the Sterling contract? We find out tonight on Mad Men in the episode called "Souvenir."
But before anything else, here's a quick recap of what happened last week: Conrad Hilton wants Don to handle Hilton's three New York City properties and Roger, Cooper, and Lane congratulate Don but warns him that there's a hitch. Connie's lawyers want Don under contract to Sterling Cooper to ensure continuity so Lane hands Don a three-year contract. In attempt to convince a reluctant Don, who believes that "no contract means I have all the power," Roger calls Betty to encourage her husband to sign which eventually leads to an argument between Don and Betty. In the end, though, Don decides to sign the contract.
Peggy, on the other hand, receives an expensive Hermes scarf from Duck but Pete advises to send it back, believing that Duck is trying to use them to get back at Don for ousting him from Sterling Cooper. But when Peggy returns the scarf in Duck's hotel suite, they end up kissing.
The drama continues as Don tries to convince Betty to go on a business trip with him, while Pete helps a neighbor in his building apartment. Not much has been revealed about the eighth episode of the third season but I guess being ambiguous is a good thing for a show like
Mad Men. After all, seeing Betty go with Don for trip and seeing Pete lend a hand to a neighbor have not exactly happened before so it'll be interesting to see how this pans out.
Meanwhile, we also see Pete offering to take the boys out for a drink since there's no reason to work late and show off because all the bosses are gone. Check out the clip below!
