Lost is still more than a month away from the premiere of season 5, but now is the perfect time to look back at how we got here. Last week BuddyTV asked fans to vote for their favorite season 1 episode, and this week, we’re looking at season 2.

Lost’s second season saw a lot of changes. It introduced Desmond and the Swan Station inside the Hatch. We met the Tailies, with the hulking Mr. Eko and his Jesus Stick. We saw Shannon, Ana-Lucia and Libby all get gunned down (the Island needs gun control, stat). And we met Ben. In hindsight, the season was a lot better than some gave it credit for being at the time.

Vote For Your Favorite Episode of Lost Season 2!

Vote below in our Showdown to pick your favorite episode of season 2. Personally, I loved the episodes that turned the focus away from the main regulars, like “The Other 48 Days” and the Rose and Bernard-centric “S.O.S.” As for the best episode of Lost season 2, it has to be “The 24rd Psalm,” in which Mr. Eko came face to face with the Black Smoke Monster.

In the next two weeks we’ll launch similar Showdowns for seasons 3 and 4, and when they’re all done, we’ll let the top five episodes from each season face off to decide the absolute best episode of Lost yet.

Here are the results from last week’s season 1 Showdown:

Top 5 Lost Episodes from Season 1
1 “Pilot”
2 “Confidence Man”
3 “Exodus”
4 “Walkabout”
5 “Outlaws”

Clearly Sawyer fans carried the day, as both of his flashback episodes made the top 5, along with the series premiere, the epic first season finale, and the stunning “Walkabout” that showed us that John Locke was in a wheelchair before the crash.
