Lost

-Drama A plane crashes on the way from Sydney to L.A., landing on an uncharted island, leaving a group of survivors to fend for themselves. Sounds like “Castaway”, right? Wrong. Lost, the groundbreaking drama from ABC, manages to reinvent the stranded on a desert island wheel, combining adventure, drama, sci-fi and horror to produce one of the most captivating television experiences in years. Mystery abounds, dense as the island's forests, not allowing viewers to miss a single second of action on Lost.

Lost: Episode 4.11 "Cabin Fever" Preview

We can't have a flash forward every week.  At this point, we've had six flash forwards in season 4 of Lost, one for each of the adult Oceanic 6 (Hurley, Kate, Sayid, Sun and Sayid) and one for our man Ben.  Any subsequent flash forward this season would have to either involve a non-Oceanic 6 member who secretly made it back to the mainland, involve someone not in the main cast, or happen on the island.  Tomorrow night's Lost episode will key on Locke, and it looks like he will be featured in the episode's flash forward/back.  As we know, the Lost team keeps plot details a well-kept secret, so we don't have much to go on – but, that doesn't mean we can't guess.

This is the plot summary from ABC for “Cabin Fever”:

"John Locke is enlightened as to the whereabouts of Jacob's cabin, and life aboard the freighter becomes perilous.”

Jacob, clearly, will play a big part in the episode.  Hurley will apparently lead him there, as he was the last person (probably) to see where the cabin was.  I'm hoping for more human-like interaction with Jacob this time, as opposed to his first, ghost-like appearance.  That was cool and all, but I'd appreciate some constructive advice from Jake.  Locke wants to know what to do next in his island quest.  I hope he figures something out.  I'd like to know how you all think the Jacob situation will work out tomorrow night.  Will he even make an appearance?  Will he speak?  Will he give Locke what he desires?

My other major question going into “Cabin Fever” regards the nature of Locke's flash forward/back.  It's probably safe to assume that it will be a flash back – Locke doesn't make it off the island and doing on-island flash forwards wouldn't make sense at this point in the series.  My guess: it will be an on-island flashback, tracing how Locke went from the mass Dharma grave to throwing that knife in Naomi's back.  That journey should have enough material to fill an episode, and it's something I know I want to see.  Thoughts?

Will Jacon speak in "Cabin Fever?"
Yes
