Andrews, a 38-year old Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actor, was born in London, England. He attended Guildhall School of Music and Drama prior to his pursuit of the showbiz world. As an actor, was best known for his role in the movie The English Patient. His other credits included London Kills Me, Bombay Boys, Bride and Prejudice and The Ten Commandments to name a few. At present, he stars as Sayid Jarrah on the popular show Lost.

On Lost, he plays a former communications officer who served in the Iraqi Republican Guard. Although his TV character is occasionally involved in depraved approaches, especially when it comes to torturing and interrogating, his upcoming movie character is extremely wicked in nature.

Planet Terror centers on two doctors, William and Dakota Block, who discover that people disguised in suspicious sores infest their town. The film, which will air separately from the other slasher movie, is scheduled for release on April 6, 2007. The cast includes Freddy Rodriguez as El Wray, Rose McGowan as Cherry Darling , Josh Brolin as DR. William Block, Marley Shelton as DR. Dakota McGraw Block, Tom Savini as Deputy Tolo and Bruce Willis as Lt. Muldoon.

As for the other half of the double feature, Death Proof is set around a fictional movie shoot which will eventually be infiltrated by psychotic killer. The movie stars Kurt Russell with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosario Dawson, Tracy Thoms and Vanessa Ferlito among others.
