Previously, we reported that
Law and Order returned to its highly anticipated 19th season way back in November. The show is back with
Sam Waterston as Jack McCoy. On that episode called “Rumble,” a stockbroker received a fatal beating, which resulted to an epic clash between his family and the group allegedly responsible for the murder. Waterston previously said that he was happy how the show has endured so many seasons. He was also surprised that his stint is proving to be longer than he thought.
Last night,
Law and Order alum
Elisabeth Rohm appeared on the CBS procedural
The Mentalist as Sophie. On the episode entitled “Red Brick and Ivy,” a leading scientific researcher became the victim of poisoning and Patrick Jane (
Simon Baker) became increasingly involved in the case personally because the victim's wife turned out to be the prime suspect – and his former psychiatrist. On that episode, the past of Baker came back to hunt him, without his consent.
Elisabeth Rohm's role on the episode is big, which kind of caused that particular episode's downfall according to some fans, because someone as big an actress as her wasn't very likely to get a small role. As the prime suspect, some fans say her stature was a give-away.
Elisabeth Rohm, 35, other than playing Assistant District Attorney Serena Southerlyn on
Law and Order from 2001 to 2005. The German-born actress also had a recurring role on
Angel as Detective Kate Lockley and a regular on the TNT series
Bull. Her stint on
Law and Order earned her two nominations at the Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
