As reported recently,
Law and Order will be returning for its 19th season earlier than originally scheduled. With NBC's revamped schedule, the long-running crime drama has now been added to the Wednesday nigh block, beginning November 5. But aside from the show's sooner-than-expected comeback, fans can expect a lot of guest stars this season. One of which is
Katee Sackhoff, who is perhaps best known for her role as Captain Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on the Sci Fi Channel television program
Battlestar Galactica.
In addition to
Battlestar Galactica, where she won a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series in 2006, Sackhoff has also appeared on
Bionic Woman as Sarah Corvus, on
Cold Case as Terri Maxwell and as Nell Bickford on
The Education of Max Bickford.
According to Zap2it.com, Sackhoff will join the cast of
Law and Order to face down a more human set of adversaries as a murder suspect in an episode that is yet to have an airdate. Moreover, her
Law and Order guest stint coincides with a starring role in
Lost and Found, a pilot Dick Wolf is producing for NBC.
Meanwhile, Sackhoff is just one of the many well-known guest stars set to appear on
Law and Order. Other celebrities expected to grace the show include Ned Beatty (
The Shooter, CSI, Homicide: Life on the Street),
Sherry Stringfield (
Tell Me You Love Me, ER, Third Watch), Jena Malone (
The Ballad of Jack and Rose, Into the Wild),
Tom Everett Scott (
Cashmere Mafia, Saved, ER), and Vivica A. Fox (
Curb Your Enthusiasm, 1-800-Missing, All of Us), among others.
Law and Order stars Jeremy Sisto as Cyrus Lupo, Alana De La Garza as Connie Rubirosa, Jesse L. Martin as Edward Green, Linus Roache as Michael Cutter,
S. Epatha Merkerson as Anita Van Buren, and
Sam Waterston as Jack McCoy.
