Returning to Sunday nights for a 12th season, King of the Hill is second only to The Simpson as the longest running American animated series. King of the Hill was created by Mike Judge, who created Beavis and Butthead, and Greg Daniels, a former writer for The Simpsons.

King of the Hill, which revolves around the Hill family, provides a humorous look into the mundanities of Texas life. Hank Hill is a proud Texan, former high school football star, and current assistant manager of Strickland Propane, where he sells propane as well as propane accessories. His wife Peggy is a substitute Spanish teacher with a dubious grasp of the Spanish language, and wears size 16 EEE shoes. Their son Bobby is a chubby sort whose wacky sense of humor often clash with Hank's traditional sensibilities. Other main characters include conspiracy theorist and exterminator Dale Gribble, depressed and overweight divorcé Bill Dauterive, and incomprehensible but deceptively intelligent Boomhauer.
