Despite her antics on Keeping Up with the Kardashians
, Kim Kardashian
can be serious when it comes to issues she cares about. She knows that being constantly followed by the press is a challenge for any celebrity, which is why she came to the defense of fellow Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan.
Kim expressed her concern for the intense scrutiny that the 22-year-old actress is undergoing recently. Over the weekend, Lindsay Lohan was issued a short-lived warrant of arrest, followed by the police arriving at the home of one of her girlfriends: Samantha Ronson. There was said to be a loud disturbance in the area that Saturday, leading to a window being broken. This caused quite a stir, and the authorities flocked the place immediately.
On an interview with People, 28-year-old Kim Kardashian addressed the incident, giving her point of view on the Lindsay issue. “It's so sad that there's such an invasion of privacy, with camera people, cops and paparazzi outside their home.”
“I mean, when have you not thrown something when you're mad?” she added. “Everyone has to admit that at one time in their life, they've gotten so mad that they've thrown something, but maybe not necessarily breaking a window.”
Kardashian continued: “Can't people have an argument without everyone watching?” Coming from a reality TV star, that's actually saying a lot. But Kim maintains that whatever Lindsay is going through shouldn't be blown out of proportion.
“Just because she had an argument, I don't think it means that she's off track and that everything is crazy. It's really just messed up that everyone blames her."
Kim's mom, Kris Jenner, also had some motherly words on her mind. “[Lindsay]'s got an amazing mom, a beautiful sister and brothers, so just stay close to your family anytime you're having struggles with anything.”
“Everyone's concerned about Lindsay,” Kris said,” but leave her the heck alone and let her live her life."
With that, Kim went on, “I think everyone needs to let her breathe.”
