Keeping Up with the Kardashians: Burma Commercial Not Taken Seriously, Receives Negative Comments
We all know how terribly busy Kim Kardashian is while sitting at Dash, waiting for people to come in.  That’s why the makers of her public service announcement for the plight of Burma decided to film the commercial right there in the Kardashian clothing store—in Kim’s natural environment.  However, things took a turn for the worse when the commercial was recently released for the entire world to see.  In fact, numerous comments on Kim Kardashian’s official website spoke of disappointment and disgust on what the former amateur porn star has done for such a serious cause.

“I think it's great you're trying to bring the Burma matter to attention but maybe you should actually research the situation yourself,” Kate, a commenter on Kim’s official website, wrote.  “It's obvious you're saying whatever someone told you to say.  If you used your own words and actual feelings people may take it more seriously.”

Another concerned citizen wrote it more directly, saying, “Kim, get over yourself.  If you are going to be serious about something, be serious.”

It seems very apparent that the reality star was not prepared for this shoot and did not realize the gravity of the situation she was actually fighting for.

“A few months ago I had no idea about the problems of Burma... and now I am simply devastated,” Kim wrote on her blog.  “It's an incredible story and I'm honored to have helped raise awareness about Burma's plight.  Over all it was a really fun and eye-opening experience!”

No matter how sincere Kim’s words were, the video spoke for itself.  For most of the concerned citizens of America and probably the whole world (there were people of various races who commented on her blog), Kim’s efforts were in vain.  Check out the clip below and see for yourself.

Kim joked, “What’s this benefit for again? Burping?” and Khloe answered, “No, not burping. Burma,” to which Kim replied a playful, “I was kidding.”

This did not seem like a laughing matter for her fans and viewers alike, as reports have already spread across the Internet, pointing out yet another Kim Kardashian boo-boo.

“I was actually applauding at the fact that you're taking part by doing something useful and helping out with the crisis but after watching that clip, I seriously wanted to slap you across the face,” a commenter named Monica said.  “Was that supposed to be a joke, do you find humor in other people's misery?”

It seemed like Monica felt strongly for the cause, as she continued to point out how immature it was for Kim to take a grave situation like this so lightly.

“You certainly do NOT act like the classy mature woman you are supposed to be.  You have a mindset of a 15 year old.  Seriously grow up, everything in life is not about money, cars, makeup, clothing and being the center of attention.  So please do us all a favor, stop acting like you care about the world.  Because you don't.  You only care about yourself.  Do you think your father would be happy seeing you like this?  I don't think so.  I hope you do realize one day, maybe when you're 30+ that you need to be more considerate of other people's feelings.”

As for any other celebutante, publicity—whether good or bad—is still publicity.  For Kim Kardashian, she doesn’t seem to mind if it's the latter.

“I just wanted share with you how I feel about the tragic cyclone that recently hit Burma,” she says on her blog.  Maybe that’s just it.  Maybe she doesn’t plan to go beyond that, unlike most of the concerned citizens around the world would.
