Although
Skeet Ulrich had a sluggish start in the showbiz world, he manages to revive and stimulate his once stale career. Backed up with a huge doze of charisma and vigor, he establishes himself as a great dramatic actor as he stars on the television series
Jericho. Beneath his roguish appearance is a striking personality that can certainly lure a pool of fans.
Born on January 20, 1970 in Lynchburg, Virginia, Bryan Ray "Skeet" Ulrich studied at Northwest Cabarrus High School where he excelled in soccer. He also attended the University of North Carolina to study marine biology but later transferred to New York University where he caught the attention of playwright David Mamet. As an actor, he started with minor and uncredited roles in films such as
Weekend at Bernie's and
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Shortly, he was cast in the show
After School Special and subsequently landed a more significant role in the movie
Boys opposite Winona Ryder. His other projects included
The Craft, The Newton Boys, Chill Factor, As Good As It Gets, Touch, Takedown and
Into the West to name a few.
Playing Jake Green on the drama series
Jericho allows Skeet Ulrich to portray a prodigal son torn between his aspiration to leave his disturbed past and his loyalty to a town that badly needs him. His remarkable presence in the popular show certainly makes the show worth watching.
