Fans of Jericho who are counting down the days until the show returns on February 12 now have something to tide them over.  CBS has released a promo video for the second season, and it promises to excite existing fans while hopefully bringing in plenty of new ones.  The clip is jam-packed with action, all set to the rocking song "Tick Tick Boom" by The Hives.

The video starts off by mentioning the efforts made by the fans to keep Jericho on the air, which I think is a great idea.  People who haven't seen the show will likely be intrigued that many fans feel so passionately about it, and maybe that will get them to tune in.  The clip then flies into action mode, with shots of guns, tanks, and bomb-dropping airplanes flying overhead.  The war between Jericho and New Bern is definitely on, and the video makes it clear that the military is coming in to stop it.

The clip features other intriguing glimpses, such as the Jennings and Rall building and a flag representing a new nation -- The Allied States of America.

This is truly a great promo that wisely focuses on the action-heavy side of the series.  While fans who are already sucked into the show may appreciate a clip that illuminates new plot and character developments, this explosive two minutes will definitely pique the interest of new viewers.  CBS is doing a great job of promoting Jericho's return, and I hope they keep it up after the new year.
