Usually not very busy on Fridays? Want to catch a cool new show? Missed out on this
Jericho everybody is talking about? Good news! CBS will be airing most of
Jericho this summer in a Friday 9pm est time slot following
Ghost Whisperer. This is an excellent time for all those hard working Jericho protesters to start throwing some parties to, y'know, expand the viewership a little bit. (Be sure to stock up on the nuts, of course.)
The came this week via an official press release from CBS. Collectively, they will air the pilot, the recap episode (that covered eps 1-11) then the remaining 10 episodes of the season, cutting out some of the slower paced first half of the season. Fans who insist on watching every last episode, however, can do so at cbs.com as well as on Itunes. The official rhetoric over Jericho's season one replay goes like this:
JERICHO, CBS's drama about how residents of a small, peaceful, Kansas town band together to survive in the wake of a nuclear explosion, will return to the Network beginning Friday, July 6 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT). Rebroadcasts of episodes from the first season will air in the Friday, 9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT time period for the remainder of the summer.
JERICHO, which last week received a seven episode mid-season order following an impassioned display of fan support, will return on July 6 with a rebroadcast of the pilot episode.
On July 13, CBS will present back-to-back broadcasts beginning with "Return to Jericho" (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), which recapped the first 11 episodes, followed by episode 12, "The Day Before" (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), which launched "Jericho's" spring return.
There is still no definitive date for Jericho's second season-ette to return, but some are saying as early as October is a possibility. Not to burst any bubbles, but a certain inquiry to a certain Jericho stars publicist, who shall remain unnamed, was answered with something like "Let's do this in the spring, when Jericho comes back." So even though the possibility of an early return is possible, if any of CBS's new shows severely tank, it looks like the folks behind the scenes are still looking at mid-season.
