Jennifer Morrison as Allison Cameron

Jennifer Marie Morrison, who was born on April 12, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois, was educated at Loyola University Chicago, where she majored in theatre and minored in English. She also studied with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company before she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.

As a child model, she appeared in print advertisements for JCPenney and Montgomery Ward and went on to appear on commercials. When she was 15 years old, she made her film debut in Intersection, which starred Richard Gere and Sharon Stone. In 1999, she starred alongside Kevin Bacon in the film Stir of Echoes and a year later, she landed her first leading role in the film Urban Legends: Final Cut. Since then, she appeared in the films Grind, Surviving Christmas and Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

In talking about her work on the film Grind, Morrison said to SGMag, "What attracted me to both Grind and Jamie was that first of all it's just really fun and funny--it's such an amazing, fun cast that the experience on set was, you know, you just can't compare to it. So just looking at it as an experience in general, I was looking forward to it. But also looking at it in terms of acting, Jamie's really a character who sticks up for herself and believes in what she's doing. She's a girl who is in a sport that is fairly new for a girl to really be excelling [in], in skateboarding and a lot of the extreme sports."

Morrison also discussed her film, Surviving Christmas, with About.com, saying, "I play Ben's girlfriend actually, which was quite an adventure. I basically play his girlfriend who's sort of this high society upper class girl who's with him because he's made a lot of money and he's very charming. And we just go through some struggles because our ideals don't match up. He goes into this whirlwind spiral where he hires this family to pretend to be a family for Christmas in order to try to get me back. And so, it becomes this fiasco."

As for her television work, Morrison appeared in Touched by an Angel and Dawson's Creek. She landed the role of Dr. Allison Cameron on the hit series, House in 2004.
