After the craziness of the last House episode, you can imagine that Chase has some things to deal with. And so he does. As these four clips from the House episode 8.12, "Chase," show, the road to full recovery will take at least one TV hour.

In the first video, House visits Chase at home in what is most definitely an unscheduled visit.

  • You've really got to love the way -- no matter what the situation -- House is most interested in medical diagnoses. Although he seems a bit interested in the semi-naked girl in the background. What he is much less interested in is Chase's feelings. No surprise there.
  • Apparently, this episode is set three weeks after the events in "Nobody's Fault."
  • House has an excellent point in the whole "you work for me" thing. Most bosses wouldn't wait three weeks before demanding a return (or at least an ETA) from a missing employee.
  • Doesn't it seem a bit odd that Chase lives in an apartment that looks appropriate for a semi-unemployed barista? A doctor should live better.

In the second video, Dr. Chase has come back to the hospital, but he may not be working for House anymore.

It's good for House to acknowledge that, after nearly a decade of working for the man, Chase knows exactly what gets Dr. House interested. Granted, House remains more engaged in throwing water balloons at Taub, for some reason.

The third of the House videos shows an interaction between Chase and Adams shortly after his return to the hospital.

It is odd for Adams to be more traumatized than Chase at this point. Of course, she hasn't been working for House very long. A doctor probably gets a little more immune to trauma after days, months and years spent in the company of an evil genius.

The final video shows Chase interacting with his patient. The conversation is not exactly focused on medical treatment.

So this lady is heading for becoming a nun? Is she already a nun and returning to it? Or is this a new, post-medical emergency thing for her?

There is definitely no surprise in the fact that Chase is disinterested in the monastic lifestyle. But will that level of interest change? Are we witnessing the spiritual revival of Chase?

We will find out when the House episode, "Chase," airs on Monday, February 13 at 8pm on FOX.
