'House' Recap: 'Chasing' The Nun
'House' Recap: 'Chasing' The Nun
Nun Too Soon

After House shows up at his doorstep unannounced asking when he's going back to work, Chase finally does. The team welcomes him back -- in their own unique ways, of course. Taub is low key. Adams suggests that Chase get trauma counseling as she is doing to help deal with Chase's stabbing.

Park confuses Chase by suggesting they get something to eat and discuss the stabbing. I snort when Chase says to Park, "Are you asking me out?" She replies, "No!" totally mortified. Later, Chase figures out Park is afraid of a similar thing happening to her in the hospital.

Chase's first patient is Moira, a young nun who is faced with making a big life decision. Chase gets a little too close to her in more ways than one. They sleep together as well as discuss issues of faith and religion. Moira says she wants to "run to God" while Chase calls it "running away."

Chase and House -- What Gives?

Chase makes the mistake of telling House he's in love with Moira. House says he isn't. They only slept together once. House also tells Chase he's an idiot for trying to talk Moira out of devoting herself to God and her religion if that's what she wants to do.

When the team assembles to try to solve Moira's medical issue -- is it really syphilis? -- Chase yells at House that he doesn't need his help. Later, Adams tells Chase he needs to get over his anger at House. Luckily, House and Taub break this tension with their little pranks with water guns and the like.

Chase Operates

No, the nun doesn't have syphilis! It's a liver problem. Chase has only a few minutes to operate on Moira before she "strokes out." When Moira is recovered, she tells Chase about a dream she had. She also says she "felt God's love right when she almost died." I wait for the lightning to strike when Chase replies, "That wasn't God; that was oxygen deprivation."

All of Chase's efforts to keep Moira to himself don't work. They stand in the hospital hallway. It must be difficult to look deeply into each other's eyes with so many medical professionals walking down the hall and the "paging Dr. So and So" voices! Moira and Chase touch hands and then she's gone...

Did you love House tonight as much as I did?
