If the reviews are to be believed, House fans who were a little skeptical of this loony bin storyline should be in for a, well, crazy surprise. For those who need a little catching up, the season 6 of the Fox medical drama won't open in the usual Princeton-Plainsboro but in a mental facility called Mayfield Psychiatric Hospital. House's (Hugh Laurie) Vicodin addiction has apparently caught up with him, resulting in a barrage of hallucinations, and he needs help.
Initial reviews of "Broken" are all positive, so far. But to those who are expecting a "changed" House after the two-hour kick-off will find themselves disappointed. But who in his right mind would want a "changed" House, anyway?
As for the House
season 6 premiere "Broken," House will find a friend in his roommate Alvie (Lin-Manuel Miranda). It's still yet to be seen if we'll see more the "odd couple" - House being House is just not the type to make too many friends. Yet, according to initial reports, a majority of two-hour "Broken" will take place in the mental facility. But as previously said, the House in the mental facility is not much different from the normal House.
As a case in point, watch this:
