Hugh Laurie was very poetic when he talked to E! Online about the dramatic finale of
House. Of course, he had all the reason to be. After all, the final episode had Amber, played by Anne Dudek, dying, and his friendship with good buddy Wilson, played by
Robert Sean Leonard, put to the test and ultimately failing.
“Well wrong place wrong time,” Laurie summed it up. “It was the vagaries of chance. We're all tiny cogs in the vast, impenetrable cosmos, and House was in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
The new season of
House will not premiere until September 16, and previously he said that its producers aren't really that far ahead in terms of the show's progression so it's really unclear up to this point. He, however, was sure of one thing. House and Wilson will definitely make up.
“The kissing, I don't know. The making up, we can probably manage that. There's some making up. There's some making up to be done. “The beginning of the season, there's some real coolness between these two characters. I mean a real rift which has to be repaired and the way it is repaired which I obviously can't tell you because they'll shoot me if I did. It is very, very enjoyable is very pleasing, very satisfying.”
Knowing
House, however, the series has been known and prone to shocking its fans. And Laurie also confirms this.
“House will not go the obvious route. It is most definitely not obvious and it actually takes Wilson by surprise, and Wilson is a very bright character. It is a sneaky but very effective strategy.”
House, which debuted on Fox on November 2004, stars Laurie, Leonard,
Lisa Edelstein,
Omar Epps, Jennifer Morison,
Jesse Spencer, among others. Not only did it receive critical acclaim, it also fared well on the ratings over the years.
