FOX's hit medical drama
House had its triumphant re-premiere last night.
House has been on hiatus for the better part of a month because of the baseball playoffs.
Last night's episode saw the introduction of famed character actor and “that guy†David Morse, who will be playing House's psychological adversary in a six episode arc.
The guys over at TVSquad give a good run-down of the last night's proceedings.
I've only seen bits and pieces of
House, but I'm contemplating jumping in and becoming an avid watcher. My father cannot stop singing
House's praises, I've heard incredible things about
Hugh Laurie and, most important of all, I've now seen a clear example of Laurie's genius.
Laurie hosted a new
Saturday Night Live last week, and his performance reached the upper echelon of all-time great
SNL host performances. This seemingly came out of the blue, but after researching the man, it became clear that Laurie's performance was no fluke. Back in England, Laurie has been a renowned sketch comedian for years, even starring in a couple of his own series.
While a performance on
Saturday Night Live certainly isn't an indicator of the quality of
House, I'm far more inclined to tune in after witnessing Laurie's talents.
There, I've convinced myself. Count me in for next week's episode of
House.
