Nick Hogan, eighteen years old, was released from prison early this morning.  Nick Hogan, whose real name is Nick Bollea, was released from prison early this morning from Pinellas County Jail in Florida and immediately taken to the Hogan family home in Clearwater, Florida.  Nick Bollea ended up serving 166 days of an eight-month sentence for a reckless driving charge.  The incident occurred in September of 2007, and it left his friend John Graziano in critical condition.  Graziano will need constant medical attention for the rest of his life.  Nick Hogan pleaded no contest to the reckless driving charge last May.  Though he could have served up to five years in prison, the Graziano family requested a lesser sentence, though the Graziano family is expected to file a civil suit against the Hogan family.

In a statement to press to the press this morning, Linda, Nick Hogan's mother, asked the media to give her family privacy at this time.  The Hogan family has had a rough go of it ever since the car crash that led to Nick Bollea's incarceration.  Soon afterwards, Nick's parents, Hulk Hogan and Linda Hogan, divorced.  The entire family, including sister Brooke, had been the stars of VH-1's reality series Hogan Knows Best.  There were rumors at the time of the divorce that it was a staged split, only done so the family's assets were divided in anticipation of the Graziano's civil suit.  These reports seem to be unfounded, given that both Linda and Hulk have been romantically involved with others since the divorce became final. 

Brooke Hogan is currently starring in her own reality series, an off-shoot of Hogan Knows Best entitled Brooke Knows Best.  It follows Brooke on her quest to become a popular singer.  It is unclear what Nick Hogan's future holds.  He was an aspiring race car driver previous to his arrest.  Some might see a return to racing by Nick Hogan both uncouth and a slap in the face to the family of John Graziano, who will never be the same following Nick Bollea's car crash.
