'Hogan Knows Best' Star Figures in Car Mishap over the Weekend

Brooke HoganIn a freaky and somewhat perturbing turn of events, singer and reality TV star Brooke Hogan suddenly found herself in a situation eerily reminiscent of her brother's nine months ago.  The daughter of wrestling great, Hulk Hogan, and his co-star in the reality show Hogan Knows Best, figured in an automobile accident over the weekend.

Thankfully, not only does it appear from initial reports that Brooke Hogan is to blame for the mishap, but it also wasn't as serious and devastating as her brother Nick's back in August of last year.

The Associated Press reported that at 4pm on Sunday, May 25, Brooke Hogan's Mercedes collided with 19-year old Ronald Gallmon's vehicle on Bayside Bridge in Clearwater, Florida.  The report further stated that Gallmon was allegedly trying to switch lanes when he lost control of the car and wound up crashing into the Hogan Knows Best star's vehicle.

E! Online reports that when Gallmon's 1997 Toyota went out of control, it wound up pushing Brooke Hogan's 2008 Mercedes into a concrete wall.  The police report allegedly said that a witness to the incident claimed the driver of the Toyota was speeding.

For his part, the 19-year old Gallmon told FOX News, “My tire blew out, but she hit us."

However the accident happened, it is fortunate that no one was reportedly hurt or injured, although both cars were said to have been towed.

The collision took place just 17 days after Brooke's younger brother Nick, also of Hogan Knows Best, was sentenced to eight months in prison for the August 26, 2007 mishap that left his best friend John Graziano, who was not wearing a seat belt, with permanent brain damage.  Following Brooke's own Bayside Bridge incident, she posted the following message on her MySpace page:

"I don't know if you've heard, but my friend and I got into a really bad car accident today ourselves... As I turned on my car I clicked my seatbelt.  As we pulled out onto the road I looked over and realized my friend didn't have her seatbelt on.  I reminded her to put it on and the minute she clicked it, a car crashed into us."

The post has since been taken off the page.
